North Carolina High School Softball - West Stanly bounces Mount Pleasant

Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), witnessed West Stanly's softball squad prevail over Mount Pleasant by a count of 14-4.

The Colts now sport a 18-3 record. They play next when they travel to Anson for a Rocky River 2A/3A match on Thursday, April 28. West Stanly will face a Bearcats squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Bearcats record now stands at 12-6.

With the loss, Mount Pleasant moves to 12-7 on the season. The Tigers host Central Academy (Monroe, NC) to face the Cougars in a non-league match on Wednesday, April 27. The Cougars go into the match with a record of 6-9. Central Academy lost 13-2 in their recent league match against Anson (Wadesboro, NC)
