The Monticello Sages baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Tri-Valley Vikings to 1 in the Sages non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Sages (13-4) will now prepare for their match against Bloomington Central Catholic (Bloomington, IL). The Saints go into the Illini Prairie match with a 8-7 record. In their last match, Bloomington Central Catholic gained a win over Normal University (Normal, IL), 4-2, in a non-league match.
The Vikings (12-7) will now prepare for their match against Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley (Gibson City, IL). The Falcons go into the Heart of Illinois match with a 9-10 record. In their last match, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley gained a win over Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 11-1, in a non-league match.
