In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Stonington Bears baseball team scored a tight 4-0 victory over the Putnam Clippers.
The Bears (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Griswold (Griswold, CT). The Wolverines go into the Eastern Connecticut - Division III game with a 5-5 record. In their last game, Griswold tipped Westbrook (Westbrook, CT), 11-8, in a non-league game.
The Clippers (3-8) will now prepare for their game against Tourtellotte (North Grosvenordale, CT). The Tigers go into the Eastern Connecticut - Division IV game with a 0-0 record.
