The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Sewickley Academy (Sewickley, PA) and the visiting Hempfield Area Spartans (Greensburg, PA), saw Sewickley Academy's lacrosse team overcome Hempfield Area by a margin of 9-2.

The (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Canon-McMillan (Canonsburg, PA). The Big Macs enter the battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Canon-McMillan was overwhelmed by Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA), 16-8, in a league battle.

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Peters Township Indians (McMurray, PA) in a battle, on Monday, May 1. Hempfield Area will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Indians come into the battle with a 5-8 record after their 9-5 non-league loss to Moon Area (Moon Township, PA).
