Tri Titans (Straughn, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN), 6-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Titans now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Rushville for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. Tri will battle a Lions squad coming off a 10-4 league loss to Franklin County (Brookville, IN). The Lions record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, Connersville falls to 6-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to North Decatur (Greensburg, IN) to battle the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 1. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. North Decatur lost 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Franklin County (Brookville, IN)
