The Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) softball the host James Wood Colonels (Winchester, VA), 7-5 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Patriots (19-2) will now prepare for their bout against Hampshire (Romney, WV). The Trojans go into the non-league bout with a 4-11 record.

The Colonels now possess a 14-2 record. They play next when they travel to Liberty for a Northwestern bout on Thursday, April 27. James Wood will confront a Eagles squad coming off a 20-5 league win over Handley (Winchester, VA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-8.
