Connecticut High School Softball - Newtown bounces Kolbe-Cathedral

The crowd at Wednesday's league match between the Newtown Nighthawks (Newtown, CT) and the visiting Kolbe-Cathedral Cougars (Bridgeport, CT), saw Newtown's softball squad achieve victory over Kolbe-Cathedral by a count of 20-2.

The Nighthawks now sport a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Immaculate for a Southwest - Patriot match on Friday, April 28. Newtown will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 11-5 league loss to Pomperaug (Southbury, CT). The Mustangs record now stands at 6-5.

The Cougars (5-6) will now prepare for their test against New Fairfield (New Fairfield, CT). The Rebels come into the Southwest - Patriot test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, New Fairfield was routed by Bethel (Bethel, CT), 12-11, in a league test.
