The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Marcellus Mustangs (Marcellus, NY) and the host West Genesee Wildcats (Camillus, NY), saw Marcellus's softball squad nip West Genesee by a count of 7-1.

The Mustangs now sport a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Solvay for a Section 3 Liberty test on Thursday, April 27. Marcellus will encounter a Bearcats team coming off a 8-5 league win over Hannibal (Hannibal, NY). The Bearcats record now stands at 6-1.

The Wildcats (5-5) will now prepare for their test against Auburn (Auburn, NY). The Maroons come into the Section 3 Central Counties - National test with a 3-3 record. In their last test, Auburn was routed by Cicero-North Syracuse (Cicero, NY), 6-5, in a league test.
