Mt. St. Joseph Academy (Flourtown, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Springfield Township Spartans (Erdenheim, PA), 18-4 in a non-league challenge.

The now own a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gwynedd Mercy Academy for a Catholic Academies challenge on Tuesday, May 2.

With the loss, Springfield Township falls to 2-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Plymouth Whitemarsh (Plymouth Meeting, PA) to battle the Colonials in a Suburban One - Liberty challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Colonials enter the challenge with a record of 4-3.
