North Branford Thunderbirds (North Branford, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Westbrook Knights (Westbrook, CT), 18-1 in a league challenge.
The Thunderbirds now own a 11-0 record. They take the field next when they host Norwich Free Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. North Branford will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-3 non-league loss to Law (Milford, CT). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Westbrook falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Portland (Portland, CT) to battle the Highlanders in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 8. The Highlanders enter the challenge with a record of 0-5.
