Wakefield Wolverines (Raleigh, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Panther Creek Catamounts (Cary, NC), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Wolverines now own a 15-4 record.

With the loss, Panther Creek falls to 13-5 on the campaign. The Catamounts host Green Level (Cary, NC) to battle the Gators in a Southwest Wake 4A challenge on Monday, May 1. The Gators enter the challenge with a record of 4-11. Green Level lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Cary (Cary, NC)
