West Union Dragons (West Union, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays (Ripley, OH), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Dragons now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fayetteville-Perry for a Southern Hills Athletic challenge on Thursday, April 27. West Union will face a Rockets squad coming off a 7-1 league win over Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 6-4.

With the loss, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Blue jays host Lynchburg-Clay (Lynchburg, OH) to face the Mustangs in a Southern Hills Athletic challenge on Thursday, April 27. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 9-7. Lynchburg-Clay won 10-9 in their recent league challenge against Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH)
