Kentucky High School Softball - Franklin County holds off Madison Southern

Franklin County Flyers (Frankfort, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Madison Southern Eagles (Berea, KY), 6-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Flyers now own a 9-8 record. They take the field next when they host Great Crossing for a District 41 challenge on Monday, April 29. Franklin County will battle a squad coming off a 10-1 non-league win over Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY). The record now stands at 15-5.

With the loss, Madison Southern falls to 6-12 on the campaign. The Eagles host Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY) to battle the Bearcats in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Anderson County won 16-1 in their recent league challenge against Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY)
