Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Geibel Catholic Gators (Connellsville, PA), 15-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Vikings now own a 10-6 record. They take the field next when they host Ligonier Valley for a WPIAL 2A 2 challenge on Monday, April 29. Mt. Pleasant will battle a Rams squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Derry (Derry, PA). The Rams record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Geibel Catholic falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gators travel to Leechburg (Leechburg, PA) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, May 1. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Leechburg lost 10-0 in their recent league challenge against Jeannette (Jeannette, PA)
