The Negaunee Miners softball team scored 17 runs and limited the host Gwinn Modeltowners to 2 in the Miners league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Negaunee moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Miners travel to Ishpeming (Ishpeming, MI) to clash with the Hematites in a Mid-Peninsula game on Tuesday, April 30. The Hematites come into the game with a record of 7-1. Ishpeming lost 12-2 in their recent non-league game against Menominee (Menominee, MI)

In their next game, the Modeltowners clash with the Manistique Emeralds (Manistique, MI) in a Mid-Peninsula game, on Monday, April 29. Gwinn will attempt to move on its 0-6 season record.
