Spectators at Friday's league match between the Portland Bulldogs (Portland, ME) and the host Massabesic Mustangs (Waterboro, ME), witnessed Portland's softball squad tip Massabesic by a count of 5-1.

The Bulldogs now sport a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Deering for a Class A South match on Saturday, April 27. Portland will meet a Rams squad coming off a 22-2 league loss to South Portland (South Portland, ME). The Rams record now stands at 1-4.

With the loss, Massabesic moves to 1-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Falmouth (Falmouth, ME) to meet the Navigators in a Class A South match on Monday, April 29. The Navigators go into the match with a record of 0-2. Falmouth lost 20-1 in their recent league match against Westbrook (Westbrook, ME)
