Northern Patriots (Owings, MD) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting North Point Eagles (Waldorf, MD), 12-2 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now sport a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host St. Mary's Ryken for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. Northern will face a Knights squad coming off a 7-0 league loss to Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Knights record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, North Point falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Eagles host Lackey (Indian Head, MD) to face the Chargers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 2-3. Lackey won 16-4 in their recent league challenge against Westlake (Waldorf, MD)
