In Saturday's non-league bout, the Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) baseball squad the visiting Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), by a tally of 4-2.
Next up, the Lions encounter the East Carter Raiders (Grayson, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, April 28. Boyd County will attempt to upgrade on its 17-3 season record. The Raiders enter the bout with a 15-8 record after their 12-3 non-league loss to Blazer (Ashland, KY).
The Colonels (19-4) will now prepare for their bout against Williamsburg (Williamsburg, KY). The Yellow Jackets enter the District 50 bout with a 1-18 record.
