The Kiowa Indians baseball team scored 7 runs and held the visiting Cotopaxi Pirates to 0 in the Indians league win on Saturday.
The Indians now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cripple Creek-Victor for a 1A District 2 test on Monday, April 28. Kiowa will clash with a Pioneers team coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Florence (Florence, CO). The Pioneers record now stands at 2-8.
With the defeat, Cotopaxi drops to 1-6 on the year. The Pirates host Evangel Christian Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) to clash with the Eagles in a 1A District 2 test on Monday, April 28. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 6-7. Evangel Christian Academy lost 18-3 in their recent non-league test against Byers (Byers, CO)
