Texas High School Baseball - Cuero holds off Taft

The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the Cuero Gobblers (Cuero, TX) and the visiting Taft Greyhounds (Taft, TX), saw Cuero's baseball team beat Taft by a margin of 7-3.

The Gobblers (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Floresville (Floresville, TX). The Tigers/Jaguars enter the non-league battle with a 18-10 record. In their last battle, Floresville held off Devine (Devine, TX), 2-1, in a league battle.

Next, the Greyhounds face the Orange Grove Bulldogs (Orange Grove, TX) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, May 1. Taft will attempt to improve on its 12-12 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 14-9 record after their 6-2 non-league loss to Hondo (Hondo, TX).
