California High School Baseball - Elk Grove defeats McClatchy

The Elk Grove Thundering Herd (Elk Grove, CA) baseball the host McClatchy Lions (Sacramento, CA), 5-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

The Thundering Herd now own a 16-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Sheldon for a Delta League challenge on Monday, April 28. Elk Grove will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 10-0 league loss to Laguna Creek (Elk Grove, CA). The Huskies record now stands at 3-16.

With the defeat, McClatchy drops to 20-6 on the year. The Lions travel to Grant (Sacramento, CA) to clash with the Pacers in a Metropolitan Conference challenge on Monday, April 28. The Pacers go into the challenge with a record of 6-20. Grant lost 8-2 in their recent league challenge against Cordova (Rancho Cordova, CA)
