The crowd at Saturday's non-league battle between the St. Bede Bruins (Peru, IL) and the host Rockridge Rockets (Taylor Ridge, IL), saw St. Bede's baseball team gain a win over Rockridge by a tally of 3-1.

The Bruins (15-4) will now prepare for their battle against Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Crusaders enter the Tri-County battle with a 18-1 record. In their last battle, Marquette held off Yorkville Christian (Yorkville, IL), 5-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Rockets face the Riverdale Rams (Port Byron, IL) in a Three Rivers battle, on Monday, April 28. Rockridge will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Rams enter the battle with a 7-10 record after their 22-11 non-league loss to Princeton (Princeton, IL).
