The Monte Vista Monarchs volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Montgomery Aztecs to 1 in the Monarchs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Monarchs now possess a 18-12 record. They play next when they host Steele Canyon for a Grossmont Valley outing on Tuesday, April 29. Monte Vista will play a Cougars team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Sweetwater (National City, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 8-14.

With the loss, Montgomery drops to 12-18 on the campaign. The Aztecs travel to Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA) to play the Mariners in a Metro South Bay outing on Friday, May 2. The Mariners come into the outing with a record of 6-24.
