In Saturday's non-league match, the host Decatur Central Hawks softball team scored a nice 17-1 win over the Lawrence Central Bears.
The Hawks (6-1) will now prepare for their match against Plainfield (Plainfield, IN). The Quakers come into the match with a 9-0 record. In their last match, Plainfield notched a victory over Tri-West Hendricks (Lizton, IN), 11-1, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bears battle the Perry Meridian Falcons (Indianapolis, IN) in a non-league match, on Friday, May 2. Lawrence Central will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Falcons come into the match with a 0-5 record after their 11-7 non-league loss to Southport (Indianapolis, IN).
