In Saturday's non-league match, the host Fremd Vikings softball team scored a tight 3-1 win over the Warren Township Blue Devils.
The Vikings (13-2) will now prepare for their match against Schaumburg (Schaumburg, IL). The Saxons come into the Mid-Suburban West match with a 4-8 record. In their last match, Schaumburg by Geneva (Geneva, IL), 8-7, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Blue Devils confront the Grant Community Bulldogs (Fox Lake, IL) in a non-league match, on Saturday, April 26. Warren Township will attempt to better on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 12-6 record after their 8-7 league win over Lakes (Lake Villa, IL).
