Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Alhambra Lions (Phoenix, AZ) and the host Camelback Spartans (Phoenix, AZ), witnessed Alhambra's softball squad tip Camelback by a count of 14-13.

The Lions now sport a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Maryvale for a 6A Metro test on Wednesday, April 28. Alhambra will encounter a Panthers team coming off a 27-0 non-league loss to Maricopa (Maricopa, AZ). The Panthers record now stands at 1-11.

The Spartans (4-5) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Glendale, AZ). The Patriots come into the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Independence edged Glendale (Glendale, AZ), 7-4, in a league test.
