Chicago Washington Patriots (Chicago, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Payton College Prep Grizzlies (Chicago, IL), 10-7 in a league challenge.

The Patriots now own a 5-2 record. They take the field next when they host Lincoln Park for a challenge on Friday, April 29.

With the loss, Payton College Prep falls to 3-6 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Lindblom (Chicago, IL) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 5. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 4-3.
