Defiance Bulldogs (Defiance, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Shawnee Indians (Lima, OH), 8-0 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bath for a Western Buckeye challenge on Thursday, April 28. Defiance will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Crestview (Convoy, OH). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-8.

With the loss, Shawnee falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Van Wert (Van Wert, OH) to battle the Cougars in a Western Buckeye challenge on Friday, April 29. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 4-7. Van Wert won 21-8 in their recent league challenge against Ottawa-Glandorf (Ottawa, OH)
