Indiana High School Softball - Avon bounces Cathedral

April 27, 2023: Avon, IN 46123

Avon Orioles (Avon, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Cathedral Fighting Irish (Indianapolis, IN), 15-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Orioles now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they host Terre Haute North Vigo for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. Avon will face a Patriots squad coming off a 11-10 league win over Terre Haute South Vigo (Terre Haute, IN). The Patriots record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Cathedral falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Fighting irish host Herron (Indianapolis, IN) to face the Achaeans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 29. The Achaeans enter the challenge with a record of 4-3. Herron won 17-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (Indianapolis, IN)
