New York High School Softball - Bellport knocked off by Riverhead

In Thursday's non-league contest, the Riverhead Blue Waves (Riverhead, NY) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Bellport Clippers (Brookhaven, NY), by a margin of 15-4.

With the triumph, Riverhead moves its record to 7-5 on the year. The Blue Waves travel to Ward Melville (East Setauket, NY) to play the Patriots in a non-league contest on Saturday, April 29. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 7-4. Ward Melville lost 4-2 in their recent non-league contest against Sachem East (Farmingville, NY)

In their next game, the Clippers play the Ward Melville Patriots (East Setauket, NY) in a Section 11 AA-1 contest, on Wednesday, May 10. Bellport will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record.
