Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Black River Pirates (Sullivan, OH) and the visiting Clearview Clippers (Lorain, OH), witnessed Black River's softball squad prevail over Clearview by a count of 20-0.

The Pirates now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Chippewa for a non-league match on Friday, April 28. Black River will meet a Chipps squad coming off a 16-0 league loss to Northwestern (West Salem, OH). The Chipps record now stands at 6-9.

With the loss, Clearview moves to 4-4 on the season. The Clippers travel to Keystone (La Grange, OH) to meet the Wildcats in a Lorain County 8 match on Monday, May 1. The Wildcats go into the match with a record of 19-0.
