Orleans Bulldogs (Orleans, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Borden Braves (Borden, IN), 5-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Springs Valley for a Patoka Lake challenge on Tuesday, May 2. Orleans will face a Blackhawks squad coming off a 11-0 league win over Paoli (Paoli, IN). The Blackhawks record now stands at 6-6.

With the loss, Borden falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Braves travel to West Washington (Campbellsburg, IN) to face the Senators in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Senators enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. West Washington won 3-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Charlestown (Charlestown, IN)
