Connersville Spartans (Connersville, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Knightstown Panthers (Knightstown, IN), 12-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Spartans now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Greensburg for a Eastern Indiana challenge on Saturday, April 29. Connersville will face a Pirates squad coming off a 11-6 league loss to Batesville (Batesville, IN). The Pirates record now stands at 4-9.

With the loss, Knightstown falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Panthers host Franklin County (Brookville, IN) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 12-5. Franklin County lost 6-3 in their recent league challenge against Rushville (Rushville, IN)
