Saranac Redskins (Saranac, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Dansville Aggies (Dansville, MI), 12-4 in a league challenge.

The Redskins now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ionia for a non-league challenge on Friday, April 28. Saranac will battle a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Hastings (Hastings, MI). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Dansville falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Aggies host Bath (Bath, MI) to battle the Fighting Bees in a Central Michigan challenge on Tuesday, May 2. The Fighting Bees enter the challenge with a record of 3-0. Bath won 19-12 in their recent non-league challenge against Springport (Springport, MI)
