The Marshall Lions softball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes to 0 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Marshall moves its record to 18-3 on the year. The Lions host Casey-Westfield (Casey, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a Little Illini game on Monday, May 1. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 24-2. Casey-Westfield won 5-3 in their recent non-league game against Flora (Flora, IL)

In their next game, the Buffaloes clash with the Watseka Warriors (Watseka, IL) in a Vermilion Valley game, on Friday, April 28. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will attempt to move on its 4-13 season record. The Warriors come into the game with a 11-6 record after their 15-0 non-league win over South Newton (Kentland, IN).
