The Morgan Township Cherokees softball team scored 15 runs and limited the visiting Whiting Oilers to 0 in the Cherokees non-league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Morgan Township moves its record to 10-2 on the year. The Cherokees host Hebron (Hebron, IN) to clash with the Hawks in a Porter County game on Friday, April 28. The Hawks come into the game with a record of 9-0. Hebron won 15-3 in their recent non-league game against North White (Monon, IN)

In their next game, the Oilers clash with the Wheeler Bearcats (Valparaiso, IN) in a Greater South Shore game, on Monday, May 1. Whiting will attempt to move on its 3-9 season record. The Bearcats come into the game with a 8-5 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Valparaiso (Valparaiso, IN).
