In Thursday's non-league outing, the host Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons softball team scored a close 7-2 win over the Northern Patriots.
Coming up next, the Falcons battle the Bishop Ireton Cardinals (Alexandria, VA) in a Washington Catholic outing, on Monday, May 1. Our Lady of Good Counsel will attempt to upgrade on its 9-3 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 2-7 record after their 4-2 league loss to Elizabeth Seton (Bladensburg, MD).
The Patriots (9-7) will now prepare for their outing against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines enter the Southern Maryland outing with a 2-10 record. In their last outing, Westlake was routed by Leonardtown (Leonardtown, MD), 15-0, in a league outing.
