In Saturday's non-league contest, the Mathews Mustangs (Vienna, OH) softball team overwhelmed the host Archbishop Hoban Knights (Akron, OH), by a margin of 13-2.
With the triumph, Mathews moves its record to 16-6 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Badger (Kinsman, OH) to play the Braves in a Northeastern Athletic contest on Tuesday, April 30. The Braves come into the contest with a record of 6-7. Badger lost 11-5 in their recent league contest against Bristol (Bristolville, OH)
In their next game, the Knights play the St. Vincent-St. Mary Fighting Irish (Akron, OH) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 29. Archbishop Hoban will attempt to move on its 9-11 season record.
