The Payne Tech Lions softball team (Newark, NJ), was routed 13-0 in Saturday's non-league test with the host Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ)

Coming up next, the Chiefs encounter the New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) in a non-league test, on Monday, April 29. Caldwell will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Pioneers come into the test with a 7-2 record after their 17-0 non-league win over Linden (Linden, NJ).

The Lions (1-11) will now prepare for their bout against East Side (Newark, NJ). The Red Raiders go into the non-league bout with a 6-4 record. In their last bout, East Side toppled Science Park (Newark, NJ), 11-0, in a non-league bout.
