Castle Knights (Newburgh, IN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Jasper Wildcats (Jasper, IN), 9-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 16-5 record. They take the field next when they host Henderson County for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Castle will battle a Colonels squad coming off a 9-6 non-league win over Gibson Southern (Fort Branch, IN). The Colonels record now stands at 20-2.

With the loss, Jasper falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Evansville Harrison (Evansville, IN) to battle the Warriors in a Southern Indiana challenge on Tuesday, April 30. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 6-8. Evansville Harrison won 22-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Shoals (Shoals, IN)
