The Union Area Scotties softball team scored 7 runs and limited the host Deer Lakes Lancers to 1 in the Scotties non-league triumph on Saturday.
With the triumph, Union Area improves its record to 14-1 on the year.
In their next game, the Lancers clash with the Burrell Bucs (Lower Burrell, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 1 game, on Monday, April 29. Deer Lakes will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Bucs come into the game with a 2-2 record after their 6-3 non-league loss to Avonworth (Pittsburgh, PA).
