In Saturday's non-league contest, the Lakes Eagles (Lake Villa, IL) softball team held off the visiting Glenbrook North Spartans (Northbrook, IL), by a margin of 11-10.

With the triumph, Lakes moves its record to 11-11 on the year. The Eagles travel to Antioch (Antioch, IL) to play the Sequoits in a Northern Lake County contest on Monday, April 29. The Sequoits come into the contest with a record of 16-3. Antioch won 14-5 in their recent non-league contest against Ridgewood (Norridge, IL)

In their next game, the Spartans play the New Trier Trevians (Winnetka, IL) in a Central Suburban - South contest, on Monday, April 29. Glenbrook North will attempt to move on its 8-10 season record. The Trevians come into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 10-8 non-league win over DePaul College Prep (Chicago, IL).
