Pearl River Pirates (Pearl River, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Mynderse Academy Blue Devils (Seneca Falls, NY), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lancaster for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 27. Pearl River will battle a Legends squad coming off a 6-2 non-league win over Sacred Heart Academy (Buffalo, NY). The Legends record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, Mynderse Academy falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Blue devils travel to Palmyra-Macedon (Palmyra, NY) to battle the Red Raiders in a Finger Lakes East challenge on Monday, April 29. The Red Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 3-7. Palmyra-Macedon lost 18-17 in their recent non-league challenge against Caledonia-Mumford (Caledonia, NY)
