The Soldotna Stars softball team scored 12 runs and limited the host North Pole Patriots to 9 in the Stars non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, Soldotna improves its record to 4-4 on the year. The Stars host Kenai Central (Kenai, AK) to clash with the Kardinals in a Northern Lights game on Tuesday, April 30. The Kardinals come into the game with a record of 0-3. Kenai Central lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Delta (Delta Junction, AK)

In their next game, the Patriots clash with the West Valley Wolf Pack (Fairbanks, AK) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, May 1. North Pole will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Wolf Pack come into the game with a 5-1 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Ketchikan (Ketchikan, AK).
