Staples Wreckers (Westport, CT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Thomaston Bears (Thomaston, CT), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Wreckers now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wilton for a Fairfield County challenge on Monday, April 29. Staples will battle a Warriors squad coming off a 6-4 league loss to New Canaan (New Canaan, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 3-9.

In their next game, the Bears clash with the Gilbert Yellowjackets (Winsted, CT) in a Berkshire game, on Monday, April 29. Thomaston will attempt to move on its 7-4 season record.
