The North Mac Panthers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Hillsboro Hilltoppers to 1 in the Panthers league win on Monday.

The Panthers now hold a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] for a non-league test on Wednesday, April 29. North Mac will play a Cougars team coming off a 5-0 non-league loss to Brown County (Mt. Sterling, IL). The Cougars record now stands at 6-12.

With the defeat, Hillsboro drops to 3-16 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Litchfield (Litchfield, IL) to play the Purple Panthers in a South Central test on Friday, May 1. The Purple Panthers go into the test with a record of 13-9. Litchfield lost 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Pittsfield (Pittsfield, IL)
