The Miami Vandals baseball team scored 16 runs and limited the host Globe Tigers to 1 in the Vandals non-league victory on Wednesday.
The Vandals (13-1) will now prepare for their match against Morenci (Morenci, AZ). The Wildcats go into the 2A East match with a 10-5 record. In their last match, Morenci was overwhelmed by Benson (Benson, AZ), 9-5, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (2-12) will now prepare for their match against Coolidge (Coolidge, AZ). The Bears go into the 3A South Central match with a 0-15 record. In their last match, Coolidge was overwhelmed by Globe (Globe, AZ), 13-2, in a league match.
