In Thursday's non-league game, the visiting Blackhawk Cougars baseball team scored a tight 8-6 victory over the West Allegheny Indians.
The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their game against Central Valley (Monaca, PA). The Warriors go into the WPIAL 4A 2 game with a 4-10 record. In their last game, Central Valley tipped Rochester (Rochester, PA), 8-7, in a non-league game.
The Indians (9-4) will now prepare for their game against Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Tigers go into the WPIAL 5A 3 game with a 2-12 record. In their last game, Moon Area by Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA), 9-4, in a non-league game.
