The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Sandburg Eagles (Orland Park, IL) and the host Wheaton-Warrenville South/Wheaton North Tigers (Wheaton, IL), saw Sandburg's lacrosse team top Wheaton-Warrenville South/Wheaton North by a margin of 19-9.
The Eagles (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Plainfield Co-op (Plainfield, IL). The Cheetahs enter the Southwestern challenge with a 4-7 record. In their last challenge, Plainfield Co-op was overwhelmed by Buffalo Grove (Buffalo Grove, IL), 14-13, in a non-league challenge.
The Tigers (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Glenbard West (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Hilltoppers enter the non-league challenge with a 2-8 record. In their last challenge, Glenbard West was overwhelmed by York (Elmhurst, IL), 19-3, in a league challenge.
