St. Francis Spartans (Wheaton, IL) supporters were pleased Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Westmont Sentinels (Westmont, IL), 11-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Spartans confront the St. Edward Green Wave (Elgin, IL) in a Metro Suburban challenge, on Saturday, April 30. St. Francis will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Green Wave enter the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 6-3 league win over Harvest Christian Academy (Elgin, IL).

The Sentinels now possess a 0-11 record. They take the field next when they host Chesterton Academy of the Holy Family for a non-league challenge on Monday, May 2. Westmont will confront a team coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Westmont (Westmont, IL). The record now stands at 2-1.
